What to expect during your Gel-X appointment. We begin with nail prep: gently removing any previous product, trimming and filing to the appropriate length, carefully pushing back and cleaning the cuticles, and lightly etching the natural nail so the gel adheres properly without damaging your nail plate.
Next comes tip selection. We size your nails and choose pre-shaped soft gel extension tips in the length and shape you want, coffin, almond, square, stiletto, custom-fit to sit flush at your cuticle with no gaps. Then we build the adhesion layer with pH bonder and primer, apply gel adhesive inside each tip, press it onto your nail, and flash-cure under an LED light. It bonds to your natural nail like a second skin.
After a full cure under the LED lamp locks in strength and durability, we refine the shape, clean up the edges, and finish the cuticle area so the nails feel seamless and weightless. From there, it is all about the finish, a simple gel polish, a trendy ombré, or full custom nail art.
